2002 Lincoln Town Car seatbelt

Pass. side seatbelt has retracted but will not pull back out. I have removed belt from car and need to know how to fix or do I need to replace unit.

Unless you can see something physically blocking the mechanism, you should replace the unit for safety purposes.
