2000 Lincoln Town Car windshield wipers

Good morning, I started to have a problem with the windshield wipers about a week ago. When in the intermittent mode, they do not pause in the "down" position, instead they pause in the "up" position.

I just had a new twist. In the intermittent mode, they would not turn off, no matter which setting I selected, unless I shut the engine off.

I looking at the relay switch as the problem, I'm just no sure where it is or what it looks like.

Hope this helps,i got a 2001 T/C did the same thing.99% its your wiper motor. If you check recalls for your T/C you will see there was a recall for this problem.
