1999 Lincoln Town Car Speedodometer data

After 7 miles travel: speed-odometer, mileage ,trip distance (A & B) do not register, no speed control. Speed sensor mounted on transmission was replaced.

What you need to do is to disconnect the connector from the speed sensor( the new one you just install).
Place the ignition in switch in the RUN position.
Connect a jumper wire to one of the connector terminals and touch the other connector terminal repeatedely with the other end of the jumper wire, making and breaking the the connection.
The speedometer should change if the wiring to the cluster and the cluster itself are ok.
if no response, either the wire is open , the cluster may be need to be romoved
