1998 Lincoln Town Car Heater or ac problem

Peole in car smell what seems like antifreeze. When Heater or defost on it smokes up window. Ac seems to work fine but smoke came out of vents last nite. We are in Sw Florida so mostly ac used but heat/defrost sometines at nite or on am. is it maybe Heater core? AC? Water pump?
