1998 Lincoln Town Car Fuel Pump

Recently replaced fuel pump, when it stopped working. However fuel pump runs but for a few seconds then cuts off. Checked fuses and they were find, is their something else that needs to be checked? Checked Inertia Switch still didnot work.

Check the inertia switch on the left trunk hinge...make sure it's pressed down, to test it, remove it and shake it, if it trips and there is no continuity, tripped then reset it and cont is restored, it's good.
