1998 Lincoln Town Car car stalls after stopping at redlight

numerous towncars, crown vics are having trouble stalling after stopping at redlights etc. it is intermittent at times and some happens very regularly, any ideas what causes this and is there a bulletin by Ford Lincoln.

i have an 88 and mine did the same thing i went to the lincoln dealerand ask a service person what the problem was and pointed where the problem was a part that sits on top of the engine that you can buy at auto zone or napa they wii tell you the name
