HI I HAVE A 97' LINCOLN CONTINENTAL AND I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED HEARING A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE AIR VENTS WHEN MY CAR IS RUNNING. I START THE COOL AIR. AND THE CLICKING STARTS. WHEN I TAKE THE TEMP UP IT WILL STOP. GO BACK DOWN AND IT STARTS AGAIN. WHAT COULD THIS BE AND IS IT EXPENSIVE.

Does the clicking change frequency with the speed of the blower motor? May be the blower motor fan reacting to temperature if so.

No; It makes the clicking on the low speed of the blower as well as the high. It does not click when I put the temp up on 70, 72 or so. Just on the cooling. Thank you

Okay that eliminates the blower cage. Then I would expect the gear on the actuator motor is stripped fro the blend door. You will need to pull the dash back to access the actuator.
