1996 Lincoln Town Car Oil plenum

I have a cracked oil plenum and need to replace the part. Lincoln has stated that the part is $400.00 and there is no aftermarket part available. Is it wise to try to get this part from a junk yard? What would have made the oil plenum crack?

try the junkyard if money is a issue. may be a bit harder to find BUT you will save money.

can the part be fixed?
