engine runs but won't idle

engine starts and runs good but dies at idle. adjusted idle screw about an eighth of an inch and motor continued to run. is there a idle switch or something that has gone bad?

You cannot adjust that screw. That is just a base idle stop and will mess everything up if adjusted wrong. The idle is not adjustable on this engine and you likely have a bad IAC or EGR valve but at this point your going to have to get a shop to set the base idle stop correctly. This guide can help us fix it.
