1996 Lincoln Town Car Altenator wont charge

I have a 1996 lincoln town car and i had my altenator go out on it and i got a new one and also a new battery. and my alternator is still not charging up. the fuse in the fuse box thats marked altenator is good i checked the wiring and its good what else could it be

RELAY SWITCH MAY BE SEPERATE FROM ALT, CHECK RELAY UNDERHOOD IN RELAY BOX AND REPLACE
