recently developed noise from drivetrain area. Had vehical serviced includeing differential fluid. Was told rear end was very low on fluid do to leak. still have very loud whine starting about 25mph and continues. Noise stays constant thoughout power coast and float driving. Also front U joint looks like its slipped to one side about 1/4 inch (SEE shinney metal). Leads me to lean towards pinion bearings but before i dig in looking for more experience. Half an idea just to change pinion both side and axle bearings. Any thoughts please?

If a U-joint has "slipped" to any side, it's in need of replacement! Should hav NO play in them, start there and let us know...Low on fluid in the differential, when it was drained, did they see any metal?
