The interior lights do not come on when I open a door. Entry code does NOT unlock the doors! When the door panel switch is moved to lock the doors-the front head lights come on!

You need to run this quick test first, then if it points you to a pinpoint test, let me know which one and I will post it.
TESTING To test and service remote keyless entry system, perform the Quick Test first. Perform pinpoint tests only when instructed to by the Quick Test. When pinpoint tests are completed, repeat Quick Test to ensure system is operational. QUICK TEST 1. Lock and unlock each door several times from each individual switch. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step. If doors do not lock and unlock properly, go to PINPOINT TEST F. 2. Sit in vehicle with all doors closed. Turn ignition on then off. Turn interior lights on with dimmer switch. Open trunk. If interior and trunk lights come on, go to next step. If interior and trunk lights do not come on, go to PINPOINT TEST E. 3. Use dimmer switch to turn off interior lights. Turn ignition off. Press each button on keyless entry pad, waiting about 5 seconds before pressing the next button. If interior or key hole lights do not come on, go to next step. If all key pad lights come on and interior, and key hole lights come on when first key pad button is pressed, go to step 7). 4. Press each button on keypad. If no key hole lights come on, go to PINPOINT TEST C. If some buttons lit key hole light, go to next step. 5. Press each button on keypad. Wait until key hole light goes off before pressing next button. If key hole lights came on with all buttons, go to next step. If one or more buttons failed to light, go to PINPOINT TEST D. 6. Press each button on keypad. If interior and key hole lights come on, go to next step. If interior and key hole lights did not come on go to PINPOINT TEST E. 7. Close all doors and trunk. Ensure all doors are unlocked. Simultaneously press buttons 7/8 and 9/0. Watch anti-theft indicator light (if equipped). If anti-theft light is off when all doors are closed and locked, go to next step. If anti-theft indicator is on with doors closed and unlocked, go to PINPOINT TEST H. If interior lights stay on, go to PINPOINT TEST E. If no doors lock and keypad light stays on, repeat beginning of this step. If still not okay, replace control module and repeat Quick Test. If all doors lock, interior and keypad lights are off, and anti- theft indicator is off with doors closed but comes on for 30 seconds after doors lock and then goes out, go to next step. 8. Ensure ignition is off and doors are closed and locked. Enter permanent entry code on keypad. Open driver's door. If anti-theft alarm sounds, see ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. If driver's door unlocks, interior lights come and alarm does not sound when door is opened, go to next step. If driver's door does not unlock or interior lights do not come on, repeat beginning of this step. If still not okay, replace control module and repeat Quick Test. 9. Enter entry code. Within 5 seconds, press keypad buttons 3/4. If passenger doors unlock, go to next step. If passenger doors don't unlock, repeat this step. If still not okay, replace control module and repeat Quick Test. 10. Enter entry code. Within 5 seconds, press keypad buttons 5/6. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST G. If trunk is always open or unlocked, go to NOTE: Keep driver's window rolled down when performing pinpoint tests to avoid getting locked out of vehicle. PINPOINT TEST G. 11. Sit in driver's seat. Shift transmission to Park. Close driver's door. With all doors unlocked, fully closed and interior lights off, turn ignition on. Shift transmission to "R" then "D". If doors lock, go to next step. If doors do not lock, depress and release brake pedal. Repeat step 11). If doors still do not lock, reenter entry code. Press and hold keypad button 7/8. Press and release keypad button 3/4. Release button 7/8. If doors still do not lock, go to PINPOINT TEST B. 12. While sitting in driver's seat, transmission still in "D" and ignition on, open any door. Close door. If door locks, go to next step. If door does not lock, go to PINPOINT TEST B. 13. With driver's seat empty, open driver's door. With transmission still in "D" and ignition on, close driver's door. If driver's door locks, go to PINPOINT B. If driver's door does not lock, go to next step. 14. Turn ignition off. Shift transmission into "P". Close and lock all doors.
