Hi there,
Do all the simple things first, get the tune done, get a comp test done, get a scan done to check for any unresolved fault codes, normally this will be resolved with a tune up.

i had the same problem with my town car be sure to check all vacume hoses the two that were giving me the most problems were the one on the driver side of the engine from the air tube over to the rear of the engine and also there is a rubber T fitting for the intake manafold vacume and that is on the passenger side of the engine near the fire wall and the egr valve
