1993 Lincoln Town Car V8 Automatic 142000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
A year ago our mechanic charged us $100 to get our horn to work. They discovered our horn assembly was corroded and cleaned the connections. A year later our horn does not work again. While in the shop for a cruise control recall the Ford service department indicated we need a new horn assembly to get the horn to work. They will replace it for $250. We would like to try cleaning it again. Maybe even try replacing it ourselves if we can find the part. CarQuest told us the part is not available new and that we would need to get one from a wrecked car.
Where is the horn assembly located in the Town Car?
How can we obtain a replacement part?

The horns are out near the radiator, you could always put in an aftermarket horn, even an air horn. just hook em up to the existing horn wires.
