1992 Lincoln Town Car Serpentine belt

1992 Lincoln Town Car Automatic

My husband replaced the serpentine belt on my car, and now it won't start. It makes a noise like it would if the battery was run all the way down. It doens't turn the motor over, it just tries to start for a second and quits. What do you think the problem is?

1st would be to check if battery full
try and give it a jump
with hood open and maybe the door too while he is doing the job drained the battery
