Ok, so i was pulling out of my friends house (in reverse) and i went to put the car into drive. i heard a snap and then a click and my shifter went all loose. At first i thought it might have been my transmission going out. i dont even want to risk driving it to a shop becuz i dont even know if it will go into gear. i never tried after this. so i asked around the family (few mechanics in the fam) and the way i described it to them they said it might be a chain link or a broken cable. either way when i was drivin the shifter was really really loose. only other gear i was able to put it in was park. i heard 2 small clicks in between (maybe neutral and reverse) and was just a little hard to put in park. i have no knowledge about any of this kind of stuff. any and all advice is greatly appreciated
