My brakes are still spongy after I bleed them, I think that it might be my master cylinder? When I asked for a quote they parts dealer asked if they were ABS, I am not sure, where would I find if I have ABS or not (I do not have a manual) and could not find ABS written anywhere on the car. Is there a specific place to look and find it or should I stop looking and realize I don't have ABS. Thank you for your time.

Hello.

Soft brake pedal can be due to air in the brake lines, bad master cylinder, leak in the brake system or even having low fluid level.
Vehicles equipped with ABS brakes has different brake bleeding procedure. Unless that procedure is followed it will not be bled properly.

If you do not have any leaks and you still have spongy brake after the proper brake bleeding procedure. It is likely a bad master cylinder.

I have attached the procedure below.
Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
