My 1989 Town Car 5.0 has begun to stall while driving down the road. I was on the interstate driving and the car just shut down, electrical and all. The only reason I knew it was that the radio went out. While still rolling, I put the car in neutral, started up and continued to drive. this happened 3 times within 1200 miles. After my 1200 mile trip, I took the car to the same dealer that works on it and they said that the problem duplicated but without a in-flight recorded they can't figure it out because it starts right back up and runs fine. I picked the car up and drove it home. Two miles to my house. The car cut off 3 times while driving, but I can alway shift back to neutral, start up and continue, but this is not safe because I loose steering and brakes. Can you help?

Sounds like it could be your ignition switch, not the key cylinder, but the white plastic piece that the electrical harness plugs into.
