Electrical problem
1989 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i am pretty sure it is the fuel sending unit causing the problem.. my biggest problem is that i dont know how to replace it and i dont think i can even buy a new one (i have looked!) my question is: is there an alternate way of reading my gas level? maybe a gas tank dip stick?

theres a ball down there that stops you from sticking thigns in there.

you will have to replace it.

first you shoudl see if it is the sending unit or harness.

do this by simply unpluging it, it should read full when unplugged.

you can get a replacement pump and sending unit, saves the time of messing with it and is almost the same price.
