is the liftgate latch assymbly easy to get to and replace and if so what do I need to do?

If your liftgate will open then it may be alot easier. YOu'll have to pull the panel off the gate to get to the bolts taht hold the assembly in place. But there are clips that hold the rods that unlock the gate and they may have broke. So you'll have to check it once your get to it.
