2002 Other Lincoln Models Start up

I have a 2002 lincoln lse im having a starting issue i put the key in and turn as you would start a car and lights come on the dash but nothing turn over this happens every so often i have replaced the started and igniton switch which have to be said the problem by my mechanic so do you have any idea what it could be
