2007 Lincoln Navigator Engine stall when going up hills

The SUV runs very good except when going up long inclines the engine loses power and vehicle has to be pulled off the road. The engine runs but has no power. Shutting the car off and then letting it cool seems to work but the vehicle will do it over again on the next hill. Traveling under all other conditions the vehicle runs perfect.

I have two things for you to check. First is fuel pressure. Here is a how to for checking that:

The second is to make sure there is ample back pressure from the exhaust. The catylatic converter may be plugging up.

Also, has the check engine light ever come on?
