My air compressor for the air shocks is bad. How dangerous is it to drive without the shocks?

also do you recommend replacing with conventional springs?

you mean to drive with the air system down? it's not really dangerous but very uncomfortable and it does make the vehicle look bad by it sitting very low in rear and up in the front (due to front springs stiffer to support motor) . i would recommend replacing the air shocks with standard shocks, yes. it's really not a big difference in ride quality, air suspension is just something else that can go bad and very , very expensive to fix..
