The car dies almost everytime you place the shifter in reverse. RPMs drop and the engine shuts off. Also sometimes it happens when I pull up to a stop sign or traffic light. RPMs drop to 0 and engine shuts off. Any idea what might be causing this to happen? Thank you!

Clean out the Idle Air Control Valve and the EGR Valve and see what happens.
