1998 Lincoln Navigator replaced alternator

My truck stopped running. I replaced the fuel pump and it ran for 30 min then everything electrical shut down then truck cut off. found out the alternator was bad replaced but keeps shutting down after a few min

If the battery was weak when you replaced the alternator, it may have caused alternator death of the new unit, replace alternator and battery together and check the cables and ground points for negative cable at both ends..;.voltage drop on the battery cables can cause problems, also there is a Tech bulliten on fords and lincolns for the stud at the starter needing to be replaced, there is a kit available at the dealer for this.
