1998 Lincoln Mark VIII Air conditioner

The alternator regulator went out and we had that fixed. The air was working just fine before this happened. Now it only will blow hot air. The compressor does come on as normal.
What can be the problem? And how do we go about getting it fixed?

Run self diagostics simultaneously depress OFF and FLOOR the press AUTO within 2 sec. Display show broken line for 30 sec then codes post codes and will try and solve.

Thank you so much for your help on this. The procedure actually re-set the AC and it now is blowing cold air.

Glad to have helped when ever power is removed it must be reset. Keep instructions next batt or alt problem you will be able to repair.
