drove vechicle next day cranks over fine won't start checked ignition coil checks ok,thought fuel pump had someone turn swotch tried to listen for pump running could'nt hear nothing dropped

Use direct power to the fuel pump from the battery and see what happens-fuel pump turns On -could be a fuse/fuel pump relay/fuel pump itself and the computer controlled of the relay-
