Electrical problem
1983 Lincoln Mark VI V8

Keeps losing power. Already put new battery and alternator in car. so ill charge car up and can stay started about 15 to 20 minutes. But if i turn it off and try to start it doesnt have enough power to start back up

Hi joshua fenwick. Welcome to the forum. Start by using an inexpensive digital voltmeter to measure battery voltage. You should find near 12.6 volts when the battery is fully charged, and you must have between 13.75 and 14.75 volts when the engine is running. Also measure the voltage on the large wire bolted to the back of the generator.
