1978 Lincoln Mark VI Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am trying to find the name of a part for someone. It is A/C Hose. It is in the left side of the the car. This pipe has a filter or a thermostat in it. It is a metal pipe

Does it go from A/C compressor to condensor and looks like small can in line? if high side discharge line with muffler

it not that but it called the evaporate that what the other technician called it
