2004 Lincoln LS my car is blowing hot air?

my air conditioning system works but it is only blowing hot air. what could be the problem? there is plenty of freon and i took it to a service station and they said it might be my compressor but they don't know exactly. i just wanted to know all my option before i pay them to fix something or examine something that could be just a fuse.

Checking fuse should be done 1st
have to check
if you have no trust in the shop try another
if they come up with the same result than you need a compressor
