How do you get the fuel lines off of the fuel sending unit, the ones on the outside of the tank?

For Most fuel lines, and some transmission, and a/c lines there are spring locks on the fitting.

You need a fuel line disconnect tool to remove them, they can be bought in sets inexpensivly. They are usually small round, C shaped look almost like the outside edge of a big knob with a smaller lip that sticks out.

You slip it over the line push the lip into the line opening. Push the two lines together gently untill the tool is all the way in. The pull them apart, a little wd40 goes a long way here. JUST BE CAREFULL my mechanic has broken many of these pumps by not pulling straight out. Dont put any side pressure on it. Good luck
