The code means Vehicle Speed Signal Missing or Incorrect.

Where is U1039 part located and would I be able to fiix it myself?

I just had a remote car starter installed to my car and now I am getting this error. Would the installment of the car starter cause this error? I just want to make sure that they didn't do anything wrong if so I am going to take the car back to them.

I was reading the install manual and found this,Tachometer Signal Connection.

I took it in to a Ford dealer ship and they told me that the code was a communication error. My alternator was not working correctly and drained my battery dry. So if anyone else comes across this error most likely it’s you’re alternator.

The code came back, I replaced the two front wheel sensors and I am going to replace the two rear sensors. The front ones needed to be replace as they were damaged.
