Driver door ajar. But its not. Problem, interior lights come on every stop. Impossible to see at night. Help needed, thanks.

Have a 98 conti w/same problem.
there's a sensor inside the door panel which apparently gets stuck sometimes.
get some wd-40, and spray inside the latch mechanism opening on the edge of the open door.
fixed it just fine.
