My Continental dashboard "air bag" light flashes error code 36 when starting up. Is this a simple sensor replacement? What does this error code mean? Car's mileage is 34,700.

I also have the exact same auto with the same error code issue. I read that there may be a short in the drivers side airbag circuit to ignition or ground. Also read that disconnecting the yellow connector under the drivers seat and reconnecting may remedy the problem.

Have you found how to fix this problem or what the problem is?

Under the drivers serat, at the rear, is a small connector (4 pin) attached between the upoer seat back and lower seat. This connector happens to be in a volatile place where passengers, sitting in the rear, may inadvertanty place their feet against it. I cleaned the connector and made sure it was latched properly - all worked great after that.
