My 98 continental has ride adjust , the left coil spring over the strut broke . When I look up the strut replacement for my car the strut does not have a spring. I am wondering if the strut on my car is a replacement conversion. Do I need to replace the entire assembly?

Continentals came with four wheel air suspension, if it has coils, then it was converted to coils...
