Electrical problem
1998 Lincoln Continental V8

I need to replace the rear brake light bulb. Can anyone tell me where to start. I do not see any where to remove any screws, just one long cable going into the firewall to the lens.

Open the trunk, remove the plastic buttons that hold the trunk interior trim to the rear section, remove the trim, there should be a pigtail or two that twist off, pull the bulb out and replace. Install is the reverse.

Actually after trial and error you have to remove 5 bolts. The entire light casing comes out and you then have to pull the light out to replace.

thanks anyway.
