1998 Lincoln Continental break lights and turn signals

Electrical problem
1998 Lincoln Continental V8 Automatic 84000 miles

all of a sudden my turn signals and my break lights stoped working and I had all the fuses checked and te bulbs and they were all good. So if you can let m eknow what I need to do to fix this problem it would b great. Thanks

If they all stopped at th same time, chances are there is a broken wire. I hate to say it, but you need to start at the problem area (rear lights) and follow the wiring checking for damage. THere is a good chance there is a plug that is disconnected under the car or broken.

Yea the top light works but not the front turn signals. I was looking at the questions that another person left you guys and she had the same problem as I do and she said she bought this electrical spray and sprayed it on the hazzard light button and it made everything work again. So I did the exact same thing but I only used a little bit and it did start workin only for one min. I turned on my turn signals and it worked but then when I got to the next stop sign it quit again so mabe this info is helpful to you. Let me know please thanks.

Yep, I bet your problem is in the turn signal switch.

You can either get a new one, or try using more of the contact cleaner, but read the can, some electrical cleaners will melt plastic.

Thank you bun but I used the cleaner and it works now. I dont know for how long but I ordered the switch but im going to wait to c how long it works b4 I put it on. Do you think it ill work for ever now since it mite hav just been dirty? Or will it go out soon?
