The alarm on my 1997 Lincoln Continental goes off at random times, for no apparent reason. I don't need the alarm, and would just like to disable it. How difficult/expensive would that be at my local repair shop?

Thanks.

These things can drive you nuts. Best bet is to call the shop and ask them. Prices vary. If I was more familiar I'd give insight.

for sure I'd ask a auto shop.. I have found that ford has the most backward wiring.. having owned a lincoln at one time myself I'd say it wouldn't be an easy find you're self.
and any major electronic problem should be done by a professional (unless you would perfur to replace the computer or ect you just burned up) Sorry ... difficulty for professional should be minor and no more than an hour in shop.. If I had a manual I would give you more insite.... well good luck
