Suspension problem
1996 Lincoln Continental Front Wheel Drive Automatic

How can the front air spring solenoid be tested by itself? The car has new struts, air springs & o-rings, there is air coming down the tube when the suspension pump runs, but the air springs don't fill. I've turned on the key so the pump runs, plugged in the air tube & wires connector to the loose solenoid and can't detect any air coming out of it. What am I missing?

Just because the compressor is running, doesn't mean its producing enough pressure. Per the Ford shop manual, the compressor needs to make 120 psi "minimum".
