Engine problem
1994 Lincoln Continental V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 102000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have just been told the gasket of the timing chain needs replacing. This is not a repair I can afford. Obviously the task is labor intensive but can it be done by myself? And where can I find info on the method for attempting the job? Do you advise I not try it myself?

On a Linc Cont, with a transverse mounted engine, there isn't a whole lotta room, if you don't have the engine jacking equiptment, I doubt you'll want to tackle this one in the driveway...
