Brakes problem
1994 Lincoln Continental 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I am replacing the reaer calipers and I need to remove the emergency brake cable from the caliper. How do I remove the emergency brake cable from the caliper? Do I need a special tool?

No, I use vice grip pliers or side cutter pliers and pull cable end block towards the middle of the car, to re-install, use two sets of pilers, place side cutters between the spring and end block and vice grip on the block, push them apart by rotating the pliers where they touch each other. now holding the side cutters tight on the cable install the block into the lever.
