OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR SHOWS INTERMITANT DROP IN PRESSURE WHILE DRIVING. TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES TO RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATING RANGE.

DO i NEED A NEW OIL PUMP? iF SO, iS THIS SOMETHING i CAN INSTALL IN MY GARAGE?

you need to put a mechanical gauge on it to see if it's really a oil pressure problem.
or if the electrical sending unit is flaking out.

Hey !! Check the cheaper job 1st ... above your exhaust right b4 thee cadillac converter sits an oil pressure sensor . It gets old & leaks on to the exhaust , resulting in a burnt oil smell . Good luck fellow wrencher .
