Shakes or Wobbles problem
1993 Lincoln Continental Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The steering wheel jerks, I know it needs an allignment, but there's also a clunking noise above 30 mph. The noise isn't present during a turn.

this is most likely a worn tierod end or a ball joint. However, there's no way to be sure of this without having it checked out.

It's also dangerous to drive with either of these components going bad.
