When I turn the ignition switch off on my Lincoln the motor remains running. I repaced the ignition switch and that didn't fix it. Also, the steering wheel no longer locks. There is no resistance when turning the key. To turn the motor off I need to open the hood and pull the ignition fuse.

I have heard this could be a broken actuator arm or the switch its self. If you have had this problem with your Lincoln please write me back with your sugestions, I greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!

The ignition switch is located down on collum near brake pedal on top. A rod ie. Actuator arm, connects it to the key tumbler assembly. This is what is keeping engine running
