1991 Lincoln Continental replace outer rear view mirror

I know that the nuts are inside the door but I'm not sure hoe the remove the inner door panel without damage (drivers side ).

They make a trim panel clip remover tool, and Ed why are you changing the whole mirror? Just broken glass? or is the housing broken...?
