Seemed the car could not find level, I could hear the air ride constintly trying to adjust itself. Now the rear end is draging.I am not a mechanic but would like to do it myself (because I herd it might be expensive), also I dont have the owners manual.

I'd be willing to bet the pump kept coming on because it had a leak. Because the system is all automatic, it probably ran & ran until either the pump died or the leak got so bad it can't fill enough to overcome the leak.

The higher price option is to replace the rear struts($368 for the pair) and the possibility of needing a compressor also($160).

Another option would be to do a coil spring conversion and be done with the air suspension. For less than $500, those problems will be a thing of the past.

Good Luck
