We will handle the P1158 code on this thread which is a bad oxygen sensor. Here is a generic guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car
The P1158 code on a 2012 Nissan Maxima refers to an issue with the heated oxygen sensor (H02S) 2, Bank 2.
Here is the location of the sensor. I would change it out when the engine is cold, and you WD40 and let it sit to help in the removal. Clear the codes once completed. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
