Limp mode and gauges not working

I recently acquired a 95 Chrysler concorde. I've had it for two days. Occasionally, when I start the car, the indicator lights won't come on during ignition. Also the gauges won't turn on if the indicator lights don't come on. This also ties in to the car going into limp mode. Occasionally, I'll be able to turn off the car, restart it and all the lights come on and gauges work and no limp mode. But, this is rare. Most of the time it stays in limp mode and gauges dont work. If it does work it will only last a short distance. Then gauges die and back to limp mode. The first night I had it I drove it 2 hours home with very few minor issues. After I got the car home is when I shut it off, and restarted the car to make sure the battery had been recharged, it was dead when I got the car, that I noticed the gauges didn't turn on when I started the car. From then it's been sporadic, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I've checked all fuses and relays, but haven't been able to check any sensors. Any idea on which ones I should specifically check? I've never experienced this type of situation before and have no clue where to look first.

With no test results to evaluate, the first suspect would be the ignition switch, but you also have to check the connector for signs of melting or overheated terminals.

Im going to be running the diagnostic on it this weekend. I did look at all of the wire assemblies and none of them had any damage, erosion, Etc. The ignition switch does seem like it would be a likely candidate. I did notice the keys were loose and could slide around while the car was engaged. That would also make sense why the lights and gauges arent engaging. Thank you for the input, I will post again after I have gotten the codes.
