lights for parking on all the time?

I just finished installing a new dash pad and head light switch, then reconnected the battery and the parking lights come on and stay on all the time. The only way to shut them off is to disconnect the battery.

Hello,

You have got the wire going to the parking lights shorted to power somewhere. In the diagrams down below I have included a guide describing how to find a short to power. You will need to use a Digital Multi-meter [DMM] to use this guide, so here is a link below to another guide explaining how to use one, if needed, below:
