Lights and wipers won't stop flashing and wiping

I started my van and the dash lights all lit up. The wipers stared wiping and I can't stop them. The head and tail lights go on and off when the wipers cycle on. This thing is a nightmare! Bad alternator? PC? I see numerous listings like this on the web, but haven't seen the resolutions.

Is your headlamp switch on automatic? If so, take it off automatic. Any difference? With the headlamp switch on automatic, the headlamps and in turn the tail lamps will come on with the wipers.

If you can't control the wipers, could be issue with multifunction switch or wiring? I'd also check for applicable trouble codes. On this vehicle there are codes for lighting and just about everything else. Those are probably manufacturer specific codes. Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free. I just don't know if they can check manufacturer specific codes?
